Crowns Crowns Crowns!!!

Ive found a new project to take on. A friend of mine had me make a crown for her daughters birthday and I had so much fun I went all out and created these... There are more on the way and the fun is just beginning! All the little barrette techniques Ive learned can now be put to use as embellishments on my crowns as well! So exciting to think of the possibilities!

Three new pics

I'm Baaaccckkk...

Have a couple pictures to share:

This first one is the very first completed barrette holder. She turned out really cute and I def have to get more pics of her as she has the cutest little chucks and eyelet skirt. I made the legs of ribbon for the actual barrette holding. I have so many ideas for these things! cant wait to finish more. This next barrette is an oldie but a goodie. I never have had a nice picture of this barrette until now. I think they really finaly turned out well. You can really see what I was going for now instead of the picture that is on my etsy site where it looks like a kindergardener made the barrette. I love how bright and fun this one is. not to mention big. Bigger is almost always better, Im finding out.
This is the Classic Peace on Earth barrette. Again, Finally a good picture. I think this picture really captures the detail that goes into making this barrette. It really is one of my top three barrettes.
So there you have it. Three new pictures, seen here first.
Hope you love my little creations as much as I do!

Here we go

So here is my first official Blog for Girlettes.

I am so excited to be getting back into production. I have so many barrettes to make now and never enough time. Seems like when I have baby Olive in January all production came to a screatching hault and now, almost 8 months later, the gears are turning in the old mill.

I have all these exciting new "3D" ideas for barrettes... Im too excited! I made my first one, a Violet, but ofcourse gave it away before I could take a picture. It was really cute though!

My other new barrettes are bath time, under the sea and retro space. So fun coming up with "Lines" of barrettes.

So see you soon with a ton of pictures!
